Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Construction Mgmt.) University of Illinois
Experience: Four years on the maintenance crew at Lincolnshire Fields Country Club
Forty years as an employee of Wadsworth Golf Construction Company
Duties included laborer, equipment operator, project superintendent, vice-president in
charge of Irrigation, division president, president of Wadsworth Golf Construction.
Eight years as Principal of Shapland Golf Consultants
Pre- Construction Services:
Assist in developing the project scope of work
Assist in the selection of the project design team
Determine what scope of work can be accomplished in-house
Develop a project budget and construction schedule
Review and value engineer plans and specifications
Assist in selecting potential contractors
Assist in evaluating proposals
Construction Services:
Review progress in terms of quality and pace of work
Identify any construction obstacles before pace and/or cost are impacted
Monitor and manage the project budget
Communicate with the Architect and Owner on a regular basis with respect to all
construction issues.
